My name is Thomas Sangwin, and I'm the fourth generation in my family to work with wood here in Yorkshire. I didn't just pick this up yesterday; I spent seven years in a traditional apprenticeship, learning the time-honoured techniques that have kept period joinery standing for centuries.

While the family business used to focus on Georgian and Victorian restoration, I've evolved things to specialise in premium wooden gates. Big driveway entrances are our bread and butter, but we put the same care and attention into every garden and side gate we create.
